I actually like this song a lot, I can see how it could come off “Rape-y” but anything can in context. I say stuff like “I know you want it” when flirting and joking with girls, it doesn’t mean I am going to force them to bang me. Also it’s about hooking up/drunken sex, to further prove my it’s not about rape point is the lyirc “The way you grab me, must wanna get nasty” that’s her coming on to him.

but “the way you grab me” could also mean shes just hugging him and he assumes she wants to have sex? nahhhhhhhhhh

But I think we can all agree that those weren’t the implied meanings.

THANK YOU

All of you shut the fuck up. A woman grabbing a man in a club does NOT mean that she “wants it” and it never will mean that please grow up

HE’S NOT FUCKING IMPLYING HE WANTS TO RAPE HER WHY DO YOU PEOPLE TURN EVERYTHING INTO SOMETHING THAT IT DOESN’T NEED TO BE

The song is about the “blurred lines of consent”
There are no blurred lines of consent
Consent is “yes” and nothing else
Which implies that even if she doesn’t say yes, he might still have sex with her because her actions make her seem like she “wants it”
